The Role of Media TEAM

Impact depends highly on the creative and strategic work of our Media Team. Media Team is led by the Internal Marketing Exec and Public Relations Exec in which weekly meetings will take place to grow in skills, bond as a team, and collaborate on projects going on that require the Media Team. The Media Team will be comprised of individuals with a variety of skills and talents that tend to fall into four categories: Photography, Videography, Production, and Design. Within the Media Team we will select a “Head” for each of these areas. When applying for the Media Team, you can specify that you would like to be considered for the Head of Photography, Head of Videography, and so on. These heads will connect more closely with the Internal Marketing and Public Relations Exec when specific projects are taking place to ensure that all the details are sorted out leading up to and at various events. The heads will also help in training others in the media team within their specific area of expertise.

Media Team Application Deadline
- Wednesday, October 29th by 10:00pm
Interviews Taking Place - November 2nd - 6th

Requirements to Apply

  • Student at Texas A&M, Blinn or RELLIS

  • Maintain a 2.0 cumulative and 2.0 for most recent grading period prior to Impact Retreat

  • NOT required to be a student in the Fall semester following Impact Retreat in August

  • Sign & Agree to Impact Retreat's Behavioral Contract

Time Commitments

  • Weekly meetings with Marketing Exec for strategic planning, project execution, bonding, and growth

  • Quad Retreat (December 5 - 6)

  • First Staff Retreat (February 27-28)

  • Second Staff Retreat (March 27-28)

  • Family Weekend Banquet (April 11) - will need some photographers, videographers, and production members on this day

  • Investment during times of video production and design (dependent on yearly calendar)

  • August Retreat (July 29 - August 10)

    • IMPORTANT NOTE: “Heads” of each area will need to be available for all four sessions

    • All other Media Team members can apply to attend 2, 3, or all 4 of the session dates
