The Role of Media TEAM

Impact depends highly on the creative and strategic work of our Media Team. Media Team is led by the Marketing Execs in which weekly meetings will take place to grow in skills, bond as a team, and collaborate on projects going on that require the Media Team. The Media Team will be comprised of individuals with a variety of skills and talents that tend to fall into four categories: Photography, Videography, Production, and Design. Within the Media Team we will select a “Head” for each of these areas. When applying for the Media Team, you can specify that you would like to be considered for the Head of Photography, Head of Videography, and so on. These heads will connect more closely with the Marketing Execs when specific projects are taking place to ensure that all the details are sorted out leading up to and at various events. The heads will also help in training others in the media team within their specific area of expertise.

INTEREST IN APPLYING

Requirements to Apply

  • Currently enrolled student at Texas A&M, Blinn or RELLIS

  • 2.0 GPA (both cumulative & grading period prior to Impact Retreat in August)

  • NOT required to be a student in the Fall semester following Impact Retreat in August

  • NO prior Impact experience required

  • Adhere to Impact Retreat's Behavioral Contract

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend weekly or bi-weekly Media Team meetings led by the Marketing Execs

  • Complete video, photo, production, or design tasks according to the given timelines

  • Bring ideas to the table and aide in the creative development of Impact through various forms of media

  • Model connectivity and service to the local church

  • Pay $150 in staff dues (scholarships are available)

Time Commitments

There are four weekend commitments as a media team member. These are mandatory and run from Friday afternoon to Saturday midday, with the exception of Family Weekend Banquet that is a Saturday event.

  • Co-Chair / Prayer Team Retreat (November 20 - 21)

  • First Staff Retreat (February 26 - 27)

  • Second Staff Retreat (April 2 - 3)

  • Impact Family Weekend Banquet (April 10)
