The Role of Co-Chair

Co-Chairs serve as a vital source of leadership for the ministry of Impact. Their primary function is to prepare counselors for their role of serving and leading the incoming class. Additionally, you will build unity, fellowship and an attitude of service within your camp, all in an effort to display a glimpse of community to the incoming class while ultimately aiming to connect students to the body of Christ at Texas A&M and Blinn.

Requirements to Apply

  • 2.0 GPA (both cumulative & grading period prior to Impact Retreat in August)

  • Full-time student at Texas A&M or Blinn in the following Fall semester after Impact Retreat

  • Prior experience in a camp, either as Counselor or Prayer Team for Impact

  • Adhere to Impact Retreat's Behavioral Contract

Responsibilities

  • Leading weekly camp meetings in the spring (8 weeks)

  • Delivering the necessary curriculum to your counselors

  • Support Prayer Team in their role within your camp

  • Invest into your 10-12 counselors

  • Model connectivity and service to the local church

Time Commitments

  • Weekly Leadership Meetings (Sundays from 1:30pm - 4:00pm)

  • Weekly Camp Meetings in the Spring Semester (eight weeks // 2 hours in the evening)

  • Bi-Weekly LCG (Leadership Cultivation Group) with your same gender Co-Chairs of your Session

  • Co-Chair / Prayer Team Retreat (November 22 - 23)

  • Counselor Selection Weekend (February 14 - 15)

  • First Staff Retreat (February 21 - 22)

  • Second Staff Retreat (March 28 - 29)

  • Impact Parents Weekend Banquet (April 5)

  • In College Station four days before your assigned session
