The Role of Crew chairs

Impact depends highly on the service of Crew. The tangible hands and feet of much of the behind-the-scenes work is accomplished by our amazing Crew members. With four sessions, we will be selecting two teams of crew, one first half team and one second half team. Each crew will be led by two Crew Chairs, and follows the leadership of the Retreat Coordinators. We are looking for Crew Chairs who are passionate about service!

Crew Chair Application Release - Friday, October 23rd

Requirements to Apply

  • Student at Texas A&M, Blinn, or RELLIS

  • 2.0 GPA (both cumulative & grading period prior to Impact Retreat in August)

  • NOT required to be a student in the Fall semester following Impact Retreat in August

  • Adhere to Impact Retreat's Behavioral Contract

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Equally share responsibilities with a crew chair partner

  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with retreat coordinators and the rest of crew

  • Foster an environment of service among the members of crew

  • Serve where needed at various weekend retreats (i.e. Quad Retreat, First Staff Retreat, Second Staff Retreat)

  • Willingly serve through various elements (office help, Family Weekend Banquet, etc.)

  • Model connectivity and service to the local church

  • Pay $150 in staff dues (scholarships are available)

Time Commitment

  • Quad Retreat (November 20 - 21)

  • Attend weekly or bi-weekly meetings with Retreat Coordinators and the rest of Crew

  • First Staff Retreat (February 26 - 27)

  • Second Staff Retreat (April 2 - 3)

  • Family Weekend Banquet (April 10)
